Eligibility

Kajiado Multi-transporters Sacco Ltd is an umbrella body for transporters involved in the transport business within Kajiado County. We invite individual truck owners to join our community and benefit from cooperative growth.

To become a member, you must be an individual who owns a truck and is ready to operate within the cooperative principles of the Sacco.

Requirements for Registration

Prospective members must provide the following documentation and initial payments to begin the onboarding process:

Identification: A clear copy of your National ID.

Tax Compliance: A copy of your K.R.A PIN.

Registration Fee: A one-time payment of Ksh 1,000.

Share Capital: A minimum non-refundable investment of Ksh 20,000.

Ongoing Membership Commitments

To stay active and remain eligible for dividends and loan products, members must maintain the following monthly contributions:

  • Mandatory Savings: A minimum monthly contribution of Ksh 1,000.

    Office Maintenance: A monthly fee of Ksh 2,000 to support the Sacco's administrative operations.

Membership is open to individual truck owners who operate within the transport industry in Kajiado County. As an umbrella body, we focus on empowering those who own and manage transport assets.

To qualify for Normal (Development) Loans or Short-Term Loans, you must be a consistent member and contributor for at least six months. However, specific facilities like Tyre Loans may be accessible sooner depending on your membership standing.

No, the Ksh 20,000 Share Capital is non-refundable. It represents your permanent equity and ownership in the Sacco, ensuring the institution remains financially stable for all members.

For Normal Loans (up to 3x your savings), we require tangible security such as a motor vehicle logbook or a land title deed. For Short-Term Loans, you will need a fellow Sacco member to act as your guarantor.

Monthly Savings (Min Ksh 1,000): This is your money. It earns yearly dividends and determines your loan limit.

Office Maintenance (Ksh 2,000): This is a monthly administrative fee used to run the Sacco’s daily operations and advocacy efforts on behalf of all members.
